JOB TITLE: Repair Service Unit Controller
JOB LOCATION: NI
TERMS: Permanent
THE JOB
You will be responsible for supporting preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient network operations, and coordinating responses to network incidents and outages. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining SLAs and managing 24/7 storm response.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Assist in the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to uphold network reliability and performance.
- Managing service calls and coordinating contractors
- Monitor and manage maintenance queues, ensuring tasks are addressed within established SLAs.
- Support storm response activities under BCP Storm Playbook conditions, ensuring rapid restoration of network services.
- Work closely with the Network Maintenance team to identify areas for network improvement through planned maintenance initiatives.
- Drive to improve efficiencies by grouping linked faults to a single SRV
- Collect evidence and manage outage requests in line with outage processes
- Effective communication to all relevant stakeholders for incidents and outages
- Report regularly and comprehensively to RSU Manager.
- Collect evidence of network damages from Network Maintenance Team and supporting associated cost recovery
- Liaise with Network Maintenance team to ensure continuity of network infrastructure and service provision.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Experience in delivering network maintenance under storm conditions
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Experience in the coordination of resources
- Understanding of fibre network infrastructure, PIA and asset management.
- Crisis management and business continuity experience.
- A high level of commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to establish and form excellent working relationships with colleagues across the Fibrus Group.
