JOB TITLE: Information Security – Undergrad Placement

THE JOB

Are you an undergraduate ready to join an innovative company, that puts their people first! Join our 1 year Placement Programme to kickstart your career in the Telecoms industry. You would be joining a team of dedicated and passionate people who work hard every day to improve the lives of those in our own communities by transforming the digital infrastructure of Cumbria.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Assisting with implementing, reviewing and monitoring of information security controls and measures
• Assisting with the maintenance of the Information Management System (IMS) and associated documents
• Assisting with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARS)
• Completing information security internal audits across business functions
• Assisting with internal Information Security campaigns
• Assisting with providing information security advise for internal projects and work streams
• Analysing potential information security threats and identifying areas of weaknesses
• Creating and delivering reports on information security
• Carrying out information security risk assessments across business functions
• Incident management and incident reporting

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

• You will be studying a degree in a relevant field such as Business Management, Computer Science, Business Governance or similar
• And understanding of an information security standard such as ISO27001
• The ability to work with an Information Management System
• Willingness to learn how to complete information security internal audits
• A solid understanding of IT security principles, approaches and measures
• A problem-solving approach, taking pride in achieving the best outcome for Fibrus
