The Job

JOB TITLE: Commercial Assistant

JOB LOCATION: Belfast (Hybrid)

TERMS: Temporary Maternity Cover (12 months)

 

 

THE JOB

This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is looking to make a real investment in their career.  Supporting a group of Directors, Managers and Quantity Surveyors, you will be required to co-ordinate busy, and at times conflicting, demands – often under time pressure. In return you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and establish yourself as a vital and valued member of the team.

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be responsible for the following areas and activities:

 

  • Producing monthly reports to demonstrate works complete in the period through use of various softwares
  • Provide support with the monthly payment cycle, including managing timelines and expectations
  • Provide support with cost analysis
  • Identify ways to add value to existing work streams to maximise efficiency
  • Producing charts and presentations using Word, Excel and other systems
  • Producing and distributing management reports
  • Maintaining a document control system
  • Scheduling and arranging key meetings
  • Support and assist with commercial and financial improvements across the department
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Manager and commercial team to support in ad-hoc activities as and when the role demands

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Previous experience in a similar role with experience in commercial / construction / telecommunication administration and analysis
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a professional environment with high expectations
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and can work to tight deadlines, with a willingness to undertake training and development when appropriate
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, ideally advanced excel experience.
