Ballinamallard Youth Soccer Development Scores with Fibrus Broadband Funding

2 weeks ago 1 min read

Ballinamallard Youth Soccer Development used our donation to help upskill their volunteer coaches within their girls’ sections & also to purchase equipment.

Last week, we launched our Fibrus Play it Forward Funding for 2024.

The 50k Fund, available to sports clubs across Northern Ireland and Cumbria, is designed to support grassroots sports in regional and rural communities, offering up to £1,000 per club to help with equipment, kits, improving facilities and subsiding training fees.

Ballinamallard Youth Soccer Development used the donation from Fibrus to help upskill their volunteer coaches within their girls’ sections and also to purchase equipment such as footballs, cones and bibs.

Derek Sharpe, Ballinamallard FC Head of Youth Development said “We used the donation from Fibrus to help upskill volunteer coaches within our girls’ sections with two coaches achieving the IFA NCC Coaching qualification.

“We also purchased equipment such as footballs, cones and bibs, as the girls train externally to our club venue, so to meet expanding numbers this ensured all girls groups had a football and were able to train.

“This has allowed us to enter two teams in a recently formed BKYL League and FIFA Funded, Irish FA development nights, where the girls play small, sided matches against other local teams. We hope this will provide a platform in that girls can play from 4 to adult at Ballinamallard FC.”

The next round of funding is now open, and the application window will close on the 5th of July 2024.
