Celebrating victory on and off the pitch

Football fans enjoyed a lively clash between Coleraine FC and Carrick Rangers FC last weekend.

With an even 1-1 scoreline between the two teams, the real winners were members of local community groups who watched the game pitch-side on November 25.

Full fibre broadband provider, Fibrus, a dedicated supporter of Coleraine FC, issued match tickets and lunch vouchers to community groups including Articlave District Community Association, Cushendun Building Preservation Trust, Maghera Cross Community Link, Garvagh Pipe Band and Ballinrees Community and Cultural Society to the match.

The organisations invited by Fibrus were all recipients of the Fibrus Community Fund Northern Ireland in the last number of years.

Over 30 organisations in Northern Ireland have benefited from the latest round of the Fibrus Community Fund in 2023.

Since its launch in 2021, it has made a significant impact, improving the lives of nearly 14,000 individuals and supporting over 70 projects aimed at addressing digital poverty across the region.

The company has been on a mission to transform and extend Northern Ireland’s digital infrastructure and has already provided full fibre broadband access to 300,000 premises in Northern Ireland and Northern England.

In Coleraine alone, over 13,000 homes and businesses are ready to be connected to Fibrus Broadband, significantly enhancing the community’s quality of life.
