Role Responsibilities 


  • This role will see you taking lead on delivering key core network nodes across Northern Ireland, working to roll out one of the most exciting projects in the telecoms industry to date.

As a Fibre Planner you will be working on new and existing design projects as Fibrus rolls out its FTTH network across N. Ireland. The Role / Responsibilities


This role is ideal for someone with previous Fibre Planning and Fibre Design experience. Our Planning teams are responsible for design activities associated with Fibrus FTTP/Commercial and rural network design. 


This role will focus on producing a technical design and authorising change control from existing plans and updating them as necessary which will contain enough detailed and validated information about a build area to give increased confidence in build and cost accuracy. You would be co-ordinating with our build team and our planning partners to update the necessary change on time so that our contractors’ network with minimal change and maximum efficiency. The role will also require ownership on build area by working on any changes to the design post the start of build.


The role will be a mix of office-based desktop design using GIS tools (ESRI) and in the field surveying work, walking routes and completing concept designs before turning these into technical network design packs. We are therefore keen to speak to those with an understanding of fibre and civils in FTTP builds, such as trench lines, prime cabinet locations and placements and the challenges faced with overcoming Special Engineering Difficulties (SEDs). 


  • A good appreciation or experience of Fibre Surveying and associated splicing and network understanding practicalities would be preferable however we will also consider those that have FTTH / FTTP related experience with a sound IT background. 
  • Knowledge of splitters and single mode fibre deployment.
  • Integrate within the various departments within the business so that they will understand the processes involved from HLD/LLD/Construction Phase/Commissioning/Sales hand over/Customer Service Provision to drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness with every design and build.
  • Production of reactive desktop designs and feasibilities to leverage new opportunities
  • If necessary, produce construction & cabling work packages for internal and/or external teams
  • Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.
  • Work with the Project Manager to deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external, local authorities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the infrastructure and react to any changes necessary
  • Design and maintain accurate systems to support the planning process


The Person


The ideal person will come from a telecoms background coupled with extensive planning experience – previous experience working for a major UK telecom company would be an advantage.

The Role


The PMO Analyst will support the PMO Manager and team in the creation and development of the Programme Management Office capability within Fibrus supporting the successful delivery of publicly funded telecom infrastructure programmes in Northern Ireland

The analyst will support the Programme/PMO Manager, and Project Managers and will work with a range of stakeholders across several operational work streams and will have a close working relationship with finance functions.

The PMO Analyst’s work will include but are not limited to Project Planning and Control, Risk Management, Project & Portfolio Performance Reporting, RAID Log management and reporting. Resource Forecasting and driving Continuous Performance.  


Accountabilities


  • Support several work streams to develop the PMO capability, performing analysis and setting up tools / templates as needed.  
  • Champion a consistent approach, including standard policies, processes, and templates, to project management across all projects in the portfolio, ensuring that this is aligned to the corporate PMO approach 
  • Establish an effective process for managing Risks and Opportunities within critical programmes and contracts and ensuring that these are assessed and reported appropriately 
  • Support the creation of an effective method (and toolset) for integrating the high-level schedules for all the Projects, ensuring that key dependencies are captured 
  • Produce dashboard-style reporting with a level of detail that is appropriate for the associated project, programme or portfolio levels and supports the hierarchy of internal and external meetings and governance structures required.
  • Take responsibility for and have a high level of ownership for quality contract reporting against a range of measures, deliverables and milestones which lead to cash.  
  • Support the Learning from Experience process during the closure phase of projects, ensuring that there are clear actions with owners to address the main issues for the next project

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems & Document Management Systems 
  • Project Management qualification such as APMP/APM PMQ or Prince 2 Knowledge/ Experience – desirable: Government Gateway Processes and Programme Management

The successful applicant will require significant Wayleave and management experience from a recent telecoms project (ideally fibre/full fibre roll out) along with strong negotiation skills and an ability to develop strong, autonomous teams.


The key responsibility is to ensure that the client's delivery team comply with the planning consent for the scheme and to manage access to the parts of the site which are covered by Undertakings, Easements and Wayleaves. This role will be home/office based with some site visits.


Project Office is in Belfast however the work will encompass all of Northern Ireland. You will be required to work 45 per week (Mon-Fri, 7AM to 5PM)

Wayleave Manager Responsibilities Will Include


  • Leading a team of experience Wayleave Officers to ensure continued delivery
  • Develop and train candidates new into the industry so that they can grow and learn in good working environment. 
  • Take ownership of any problems which arise within the team and ensure Officers are afforded the opportunity to grow and learn from any issues
  • Negotiate Terms & conditions on behalf of the company
  • Direct reporting to senior management on ongoing Wayleave projects, site acquisitions and agreements set in place
  • Coordinate meetings within communities with businesses and residents
  • A sound legal understanding of requirements and the ability to distribute this knowledge throughout the team and our planning partners, respectively.
  • Experience of the “Symology” Platform would be preferred however not essential.
  • The use of GIS mapping systems to outline boundaries and wayleave issues would be a key working platform. The management and analysis of this so that that it can be co-ordinated to our planning and build teams.
  • A sound understanding of Listed building entitlements/SEDs and other buildings/structures of interest would be a key responsibility. Documentation and design documents regarding the access of these buildings to be updated and deployed through the team and our planning teams.


In summary this role shall involve:


  • Working with the Company’s planning team and build team to determine the site access routes/cabling routes and any new infrastructure required in wayleave areas. Where necessary taking the initiative to review and amend the access routes to satisfy the planned activity, the approval of the Grantor and the approval of the Client.
  • Maintain good relations with the Client, Grantors and Third Parties informing them of any changes to programme that will affect them and responding to any queries they may have.
  • Production of drawings and schedules to describe the scope of access & accommodation works, identifying land ownership boundaries, access routes, utilities, environmental and other permissions that are required to facilitate the works. Working with the Planning department to develop the information required.
  • Review the scope of works on site to determine how the activities may be accommodated with the Wayleave, Easement or Development Consent Order.
  • Work closely with the Construction team ensuring issues are resolved and the programme is not delayed.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a working relationship with the Client’s Land Officer, Grantors and Third Parties. Knowledge of farming, industrial land use and other land management issues would be an advantage.
  • Liaise with the Client’s Land Officer and the site delivery team to understand the access required and what is permissible to arrive at a solution which satisfies all parties and can be delivered within the consents and within the contract budget.
  • Fielding and log day to day queries, referring to the Client’s Land Officer as required, from Grantors and other Stakeholders.
  • Produce drawings that detail scope of accommodation works, land ownership boundaries, access routes, utilities, environmental and other permissions that are required to facilitate the works.
  • Update drawings and records with any agreed changes from Client’s Land Officer.
  • Ensure that the Client’s Land Officer is updated on the progress and programme of works to ensure that all operations are carried out without interruptions.
  • Working with the Client’s Land Officer, arrange and obtain any necessary access agreements or consents with Stakeholders including Authorities, Local Authorities, Highway Managers, Railways, Waterways, other Utilities and the like.
  • Ensure the Access & Accommodation Works Schedules include the full scope of works as a record for Babcock, the Client, Grantor or Third Party.
  • Ensure that Officers under your management when required Inspect the access routes ensuring that they are clearly marked, and the route is agreed with the Grantor(s).
  • The Wayleave / Easement and Consents Manager shall liaise with the site delivery team to ensure compliance with the undertaking or consent requirements.
  • Work with the site delivery team to ensure that access routes are handed back in accordance with the agreed programme and to the agreed handover condition.
  • Identify, and coordinate with Grantors, minor repairs to hedges, fences, gates etc. to maintain security of access.


What You Will Need:

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Project Coordinator who can work alongside our Project Managers to coordinate projects that deliver FTTP (Fibre To The Premises) network roll-outs across NI helping to ensure these are delivered on time, within scope and to the agreed budget.


The Role


You will be responsible for the following areas and activities:


Experience


  • You will be the Key Business Planning interface with projects and overarching company objectives. Expected to routinely operate up to Director-level.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications sector
  • Develop a routine cycle of frequent engagement with the programme leads / managers, including attendance on programme boards, in order to develop:

o An intimate knowledge of programme growth strategy

o An early warning of planned changes to forecast

o Develop set of assumptions for each programme that we can use to flex resource Handshake on programme progression 

o Tracking the accuracy of New Product volume assumptions

  • Anticipate, track and (with Resource Planning) assess the impact of in-year forecast variance
  • Support Resource Planning Analysis and Insight through the collation and reporting of actual deliverable completions by month and programme
  • Ensuring full visibility of activity, costs and risks across all areas of the project
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation – ensuring Microsoft

The Role / Responsibilities

To take a lead role on our public funded Full Fibre Project (Stratum), in collaboration with a regional government organisation. To actively promote and support the primary aims of the project to transform the rural landscape through the deployment of extensive Fibre Broadband infrastructure and services. The Senior Project Leads remit will be across all programmes providing cross project insights that will provide the business with the tools to improve business goals or negate impact of issues

The Senior Programme Lead will be an experienced senior manager with experience in delivering complex programmes with a record of delivery in programme and project management along with experience of translating business strategy into an integrated work break down structure from which a related portfolio of projects is created. The ideal person will come from a commercial background with experience in infrastructure related projects. 


Experience in the telecoms industry would be advantageous, but not a necessity, as would experience of project and programme management on large scale programmes. Must have or can develop a high degree of knowledge and information about the business and the programmes to be able to make informed decisions.

The individual will be accountable for all aspects of the project and will be responsible for ensuring that the wider project team discharge risk responsibilities in line with agreed professional standards.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reporting into Installations manager key duties will be but not limited to:
  • Attending customer faults 
  • Managing and booking own callouts
  • Investigation networks faults and liaising with appropriate teams to resolve.
  • Supporting the Installations Manager with adhoc duties
  • Produce weekly tracking/ progress reports
  • PIA data capturing 
  • Conduct on site assessments of quality and workmanship


The Person

The ideal person will work in a similar role and have 3+ years’ experience in both underground and overhead installations. 

They will be customer service focused and have excellent communication skills, and be familiar with all Microsoft platforms and possess a high degree of computer-literacy.

They will be focused on delivering results and willing to go the extra mile as customer satisfaction is key.


Experience

  • 3yrs+ experience installations telecoms 
  • Experience working on BT/Openreach network in telecomms
  • Installation of overhead suspension cable- advantageous 
  • Street works/CSR accredited
  • PIA certification would be advantages
  • 2+ years splicing
  • OTDR/ILM testing

The Role / Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the Delivery Manager:

  • Successful delivery of operational requirements and KPIs
  • Delivering productivity without compromising on safety and quality.
  • Continuously drive efficiency, review quality performance implementing necessary actions
  • Ensure all work sites are to Chapter 8 requirements.
  • Supervision of contractor activity to ensure works are completed to b4b/Fibrus specifications and NIRAUC requirements.
  • Manage NISRAN CAT A/B/C defects and non-compliance.
  • Fully understand and implement the company safety policy and procedures
  • Ensure that works are successfully delivered in a safe, Quality and on time manner
  • Drive compliance and any other regulatory measures that may apply
  • Ensure compliance with Openreach Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) requirements.
  • Minimisation of customer disruption during build activity. 
  • Site management of fibre to the home-works.
  • Co-Ordination and co-operation with the programme team to ensure works are programmed to the level of detail necessary to enable successful delivery without delays.
  • Recording daily works completed and completing reports as required.
  • Providing weekly progress, budget resources and forecasting
  • Providing forecasts to store/warehouse to enable correct stock replenishment
  • Completing final snag and joint measure for invoicing.
  • Checking plans and seeking for re-plans to reduce costs.
  • Working closely with our Build partners to form a working partnership on site.
  • Manage client relationships internal and external

  • Knowledge of fibre cabling and splicing works.
  • Have knowledge of the Physical Infrastructure (PIA) process.

  • CAD/GIS experience.

Contract Service & Migration Manager


Fibrus are a new and exciting open access hyperfast broadband provider in Northern Ireland. You will be joining a fast paced, highly energetic team committed to delivering the best-in-class service to our customers.  


Fibrus where recently awarded the Full Fibre Northern Ireland (FFNI) contract to deliver a programme of investment in full Fibre broadband networks to public sector sites across NI.


The FFNI Contract Service & Migration Manager will work initially as part of the programme management team during deployment as well as be responsible for day-to-day change control, migration and service related issues within the FFNI contract as services are delivered. The role duties will include but to not limited to:


FFNI build

  • Work as part of a Project Management team to oversee the delivery and management of the FFNI build programme.


Customer Migration to FFNI Service

  • Collation of migration plans for each customer to enable migration planning
  • Manage the end to end customer migration from existing provider to the new fibrus delivered full fibre service while ensuring timelines against plan are met
  • Identify and assess risks/barriers in meeting the migration plan and establishing risk mitigation plans and work arounds with customers
  • Management oversight during the provision of a network interconnect point (NNI) with wholesale customers on a per customer basis


Contract Change Control

  • Management of the change control process within the FFNI contract relating to each council and BSO customer including site level changes with associated commercial sign off and presentation to end customer
  • Update contract related change control information as agreed and implemented inline with contractual requirements


In-Life Service Management

Provide a single point of contact for day to day management of customer related issues pertaining to Order Fulfilment, Change Management, Incident Management and Billing.

  • Internal and external stakeholder management to ensure timely management of customer related fulfilment, support and billing tasks against set service level criteria
  • Collation of customer reporting against contractual SLA criteria on monthly basis for each FFNI customer
  • Keep migration and service documents up to date with changes/updates managed and communicated throughout the organisation


Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities

  • experience and knowledge to produce reports from KPIs that give meaningful insight into the performance of migration and in-life service management, establishing an appropriate set of norms over time 
  • Ability to provide Documents and develop Support processes and assist other teams to document processes effectively
  • Ability to promote best practice, contributing to the development of the migration and support capability driving continuous improvement and improving Governance 
  • Good Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent communicator both inside and outside the organisation, ensuring a ‘customer first’ attitude is maintained.
  • Decisive, ‘can do’ attitude whilst maintaining a clear focus on customer problem solving and seeing action through to delivery 
  • Must be comfortable to work on new initiatives and in a developing and growing organisation


Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in PM/Contract Management/Service related environment
  • Degree or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
  • Data analysis and experience of developing customer reporting
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulae; graphs production of high quality, highly visual management information and reports.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems & Document Management Systems (Desirable)
  • Experience of working across multiple teams in the delivery of a new services
  • Experience of producing and maintaining programme and service documentation

  • Completing Supplier on boarding, material item setup and qualification process in compliance with the Procurement process.
  • Analysing material and service data and validating by item level to ensure correct input into ERP system and to assist in the explanation and reconciliation of variance.
  • Tracking incoming material deliveries against open Purchase Orders
  • Ensuring compliance with Procurement policy and process.
  • Handling competing priorities and influence others to meet requirements.
  • Multitasking and be flexible in line with business demands.



What experience and qualifications do we think are important?

  • Procurement qualification CIPS/ IIPMM 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with ERP system (transactional inputting and accurate reporting)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, reporting, ERP systems
