The Role / Responsibilities


Key responsibilities for the Construction Supervisor:

  • Site management of fibre to the home works
  • Ensure all work sites are to Chapter 8 requirements
  • Supervision of contractor activity to ensure works are completed to b4b/Fibrus specifications and NIRAUC requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Openreach Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) requirements
  • Minimisation of customer disruption during build activity
  • Recording daily works completed and completing reports as required
  • Completing final snag and joint measure for invoicing
  • Checking plans and seeking for re-plans to reduce costs
  • Working closely with our Build partners to form a working partnership on site

  • Thorough knowledge of Chapter 8 Traffic Signs Manual
  • Can demonstrate the ability to learn technical knowledge relating to products and services

Role Responsibilities 


  • This role will see you taking lead on delivering key core network nodes across Northern Ireland, working to roll out one of the most exciting projects in the telecoms industry to date.

As a Fibre Planner you will be working on new and existing design projects as Fibrus rolls out its FTTH network across N. Ireland. Working with the Planning Manager you will have responsibility for ensuring our design partners produce fibre designs that are compliant with our agreed network architecture guidelines and contain the necessary detailed information to ensure build and cost accuracy. Additionally, you will have the responsibility to ensure each area design yields the maximum number of premises passed possible within the cost guidelines for the project.


We need a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, who can work both on their own and as part of a team, liaising with both engineers and senior staff.

The Role / Responsibilities


This role is ideal for someone with previous Fibre Planning and Fibre Design experience. Our Planning teams are responsible for design activities associated with Fibrus FTTP/Commercial and rural network design. 


This role will focus on producing a technical design and authorising change control from existing plans and updating them as necessary which will contain enough detailed and validated information about a build area to give increased confidence in build and cost accuracy. You would be co-ordinating with our build team and our planning partners to update the necessary change on time so that our contractors’ network with minimal change and maximum efficiency. The role will also require ownership on build area by working on any changes to the design post the start of build.


The role will be a mix of office-based desktop design using GIS tools (ESRI) and in the field surveying work, walking routes and completing concept designs before turning these into technical network design packs. We are therefore keen to speak to those with an understanding of fibre and civils in FTTP builds, such as trench lines, prime cabinet locations and placements and the challenges faced with overcoming Special Engineering Difficulties (SEDs). 


  • A good appreciation or experience of Fibre Surveying and associated splicing and network understanding practicalities would be preferable however we will also consider those that have FTTH / FTTP related experience with a sound IT background. 
  • Knowledge of splitters and single mode fibre deployment.
  • Integrate within the various departments within the business so that they will understand the processes involved from HLD/LLD/Construction Phase/Commissioning/Sales hand over/Customer Service Provision to drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness with every design and build.
  • Production of reactive desktop designs and feasibilities to leverage new opportunities
  • If necessary, produce construction & cabling work packages for internal and/or external teams
  • Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.
  • Work with the Project Manager to deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders, internal, external, local authorities to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the infrastructure and react to any changes necessary
  • Design and maintain accurate systems to support the planning process


The Person


The ideal person will come from a telecoms background coupled with extensive planning experience – previous experience working for a major UK telecom company would be an advantage.

  • 3-5 years FTTP planning experience and current knowledge of associated passive network elements and optical budget limitations
  • Solid understanding of PON type architectures
  • Proven ability to design and create fit for purpose and cost-effective fibre optic networks to include topology layout, fibre splice plans, cable duct and routing
  • Proven ability to complete a ‘concept’ (aspirational) design for walking the route/ joint survey with contractors
  • Proven ability to complete a ‘technical’ (factual) design and pack for issuing for build
  • Ability to interpret and translate a set of architectural guidelines into a set of design rules for our design partner
  • Proven ability to carry out joint validation surveys with contractors to establish the most effective trench/fibre routes and chambers locations (based on cost, practicality and H&S etc)
  • Detailed understanding of UK/NI local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works
  • Detailed understanding and working experience of Wayleaves
  • Good knowledge of Streetwork regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in use of a range of GIS software e.g. QGIS

The Role

You will be responsible for the following core areas and activities:

  • Business lead for updating and maintaining the information held on our GIS business systems
  • Maintaining and updating the NI premise data (pointer data) set used by the Fibrus business in the build of its telecoms network
  • Resolving issues that arise between different data layers and opposing co-ordinate systems across the applications utilised in the business
  • Liaising with external 3rd party technical resources (e.g. OSNI, ESRI & Openreach) to resolve any GIS compatibility issues
  • Work collaboratively with our contractor partners to ensure that NISRANS Symology is being accurately reported to the Roads Authority all works in the public highway
  • Producing survey maps to support the survey team, checking subsequent survey packs for completeness and alignment with the Network Plan
  • Publishing online maps and data which can be viewed and shared within the organisation or with the public
  • Survey areas that have incomplete or missing GIS or Telecoms Physical Infrastructure data
  • Capturing asset data using a combination of paper-based mapping and tablets with ESRI ArcGIS software
  • Identifying asset types and dimensions and recording them accurately
  • Maintain up to data and accurate “As-Built” records of all network inventory from the Fibrus build programmeOrdering digital mapping data
  • Support with the upkeep and management of data used in Fibrus GIS products.


The Person

You will have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy and fast paced environment


Experience

  • The ideal candidate will come from a telecoms/GIS background with a minimum of two years planning experience and will have a GIS/CAD related qualification
  • You will be experienced in the use of ESRI ArcGIS 10x and ArcGIS Pro, web GIS in ArcGIS Online/ Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server
  • Other open source GIS skills are also desirable
  • You will have experience in a variety of data sources and data formats and using FME, SQL and Python
  • Knowledge of Ordnance Survey suite of mapping products beneficial
  • You will have practical knowledge of interactive web-based GIS and/or enterprise GIS technologies
  • An understanding of Fibre Optics in a Telecoms environment would be a bonus

As Contract manager, you will be responsible for Commercial Contracts with Major Clients including public funded programmes. Reporting to the Programme Director and working with the PMO to manage the whole contract life cycle of existing and new contracts including pre-contract support to negotiations; contract closure (execution); and contract compliance/governance post award. The role holder will be accountable for ensuring that the contract is delivered to meet client expectations and achieve the commercial outcomes for the Fibrus business and its customers

Responsible for the following areas and activities:


  • Managing contract review, negotiation, and execution 
  • Commercial negotiations with Clients

Additionally, you will have the responsibility to ensure each area design yields the maximum number of premises passed possible within the cost guidelines for the project.

The Role / Responsibilities


  • Ownership of FTTH network design from survey to design to build and into maintenance
  • Overseeing outputs from our design partners to ensure they meet architectural guidelines and contain the necessary information to ensure build and cost accuracy.
  • Working alongside design partner optimising designs to ensure maximum yield of premises passed by our fibre network within the cost per home budget
  • To drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness with every design and build.
  • Production of reactive desktop designs and feasibilities to leverage new opportunities
  • If necessary, produce construction & cabling work packages for internal and/or external teams
  • Ensure that all works comply with guidelines and relevant codes of practice.

  • Proven ability to complete a ‘concept’ (aspirational) design for walking the route/ joint survey with contractors

  • Proven ability to carry out joint validation surveys with contractors to establish the most effective trench/fibre routes and chambers locations (based on cost, practicality and H&S etc)
  • Detailed understanding of UK/NI local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works
  • Detailed understanding and working experience of Wayleaves
  • Good knowledge of Streetwork regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in use of a range of GIS software e.g. QGIS
  • Full driving licence highly preferable but not essential.

Job Purpose:


A fantastic opportunity has opened for enthusiastic, motivated Desk Based Sales Advisors to join our Fibrus Sales Team.

As a Desk Based Sales Advisor you will deal with warm inbound enquiries from homeowners and small businesses enquiring about Fibrus Hyperfast Fibre broadband and ancillary products.


Due to our sustained growth we are looking for a number of sales-driven professional to join our team to aid our sales operation and progress within the company. Comprehensive training is provided and will equip you with the information and skills you will need to succeed.


Job Duties


  • Helping customers to make the move to Fibrus 
  • Ensure all orders are processed efficiently & effectively using Fibrus ordering system.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure they are fully updated with order / installation progress
  • Work closely with other members of the Fibrus Team
  • Ensuring quality and compliance standards
  • Meeting and exceeding operational sales targets consistently
  • Demonstrating and enforcing company standards and brand values


Experience:


  • Have at least 1 year’s telephone-based sales experience.
  • Present a willingness to learn.
  • Be computer literate (ideally on a different variety of systems)
  • Be committed, professional, reliable, target driven and ambitious.
  • Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent /confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a can-do attitude and the desire to deliver a quality service to customers.

Job Purpose:


The role of the Sales Administrator is to be operational core of the sales team. Their role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the automated prospect/ door allocation system provided by PSI. They will also undertake administrative job duties as it pertains to the sales department. Utilizes skills to make certain that all salespeople have the proper and sufficient data or literature to do their job. Communicates with sales personnel to assist in and help eradicate and issues that they might have while in the field.


 Job Duties:


  • Ongoing management of sales data ensuring each salesperson has the agreed level of prospect data to do his/her job
  • Constantly and consistently cleans this data by removing DNC
  • Removing and replacing individual records on salesperson’s mobile device
  • Work closely with Partners & Fibrus Support to ensure smooth operation of automated system.
  • Generates and processes new sales leads as necessary
  • Answers phone calls from customers and deals with problems as they arise
  • Assessing / updating credit history of existing and new customers, using online credit agency services in line with company credit policy
  • Follows up with customers to make sure that they are fully updated with progress on their order
  • Manage all funding applications via DCMS and liaise with customers & public organisations to ensure processes are met.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly MI Reports
  • Provides any necessary data or reports to the sales team & sales management
  • Exerts attention to detail, as customers may have the same problems; reports the problems as necessary
  • Arranges appointments with clients and sales team
  • Acknowledges customers by responding to emails, texts, and phone calls
  • Dealing with support requests from customers quickly, efficiently, and professionally within our SLA's.
  • Updates all contact information for clients
  • Deals with any customer complaints and resolves the issue as necessary
  • Assist Sales Manager with any training with new salespeople or on any new process.
  • Does any necessary administrative work including filing reports or presenting sales team with necessary documents


The successful Sales Administrator will possess the following skills and Knowledge, and will ideally be available at short notice to start this role:


  • Computer literate (ideally on a variety of different systems)
  • Excellent/confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working in sales automate data environment (PSI)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A good 'team-player'
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
